When I was just a baby, my parents helped found the Richmond Montessori School and I started attending when I was two. I loved school! I especially loved math. I was very clear when I was very little that I was going to be a Montessori teacher when I grew up. Many years later I did start teaching, but not children and not as a Monetessori teacher. My first experience teaching was as a teaching assistant while I was in graduate school at Portland State Univerisity. When I was at PSU, majoring in sociology only required one term of statistics, while majoriting in psychology required two.
